A Guarantees of Origin (GO), also known as a green certificate, is a digital certification used to prove which technology (solar, wind, biomass, or hydropower) and at which location green electricity was generated. One GO is equivalent to 1,000 kilowatt-hours (kWh) of generated renewable electricity.

If you want to switch from grey to green electricity, you can choose to make your electricity green by purchasing GoOs. This is purely an administrative process. In our webshop, you can arrange this yourself, regardless of whether you are a VanHelder customer. You choose your preferred technology and origin. Then you select how many certificates you wish to purchase. Once you have completed the payment, we will contact you. You will also receive a certificate for the Guarantees of Origin that have been accounted for.
